The Singing Fishermen
Singing drifts across the water as two large canoes full of fishermen paddle out onto Lake Kivu in the evening, destined for a night of lamp-fishing. They will use nets mounted from the boats’ long protruding poles to fish for a variety of different types of fish including sambaza, a delicacy native to Lake Kivu and known as “lake sardines”.

Raving in Christ
Music is to the soul what words are to the mind. Education
In Bombo Primary School, teachers improvise to make sure every student has a chance to participate. "Because there are many students in the class, we don't have enough space to monitor their progress" said Teacher Grace. Universal Primary Education (UPE) guarantees every Ugandan child a place in primary education, and despite overcrowded classrooms, underfunded schools and underpaid teachers, attendance remains strong.
